Picnic for School Prefects and Boys’ Club members 2018

It was such a beautiful day on June 15, 2018 for the annual picnic for school prefects and the members of the Boys’ Club. This year, participating students visited the back garden of Hong Kong: High Island Reservoir East Dam once again. They enjoyed the scenic view of the hexagonal volcanic columns formed 140 million years ago due to a catastrophic volcanic eruption. It is designated as one of the main sites in Hong Kong’s UNESCO Global Geo Park. After an easy level walk of the 1.4 km long Geo Trail, they continued walking along the wooden boardwalk. At the end of the boardwalk, they found the mysterious sea cave.

In the afternoon, they joined the egg rolls DIY workshop. It was so exciting that the primary one students could make egg rolls all by themselves.

We apologize that some students and their parents could not participate in the tour due to the access restriction of the area. After an overwhelming response for the tour, we will organize a similar tour to another Geo Park next year.
